* It's been a long I've updated the news. So, what's the news? The Red Sea Pedestrians have a new album out we're quite proud of. I've been playing around Southwest Michigan a little bit. Recording lots of great music. Sad about the loss of Kraftbrau Brewery, and hoping something good rises from the ashes. I think it has to... There's too much good music created in and coming though this town to not have enough venues.

Family Guy is awesome. So is Steven Colbert, Ken Burns and whiffleball. So there.

"Philosophers Everywhere You Go" will be released May 6 at Kraftbrau Brewery in Kalamazoo. I'm happy as can be - A lot of wonderful friends contributed their time and talents to this project.

* I created a myspace page, for the heck of it. There's some pictures, songs, and many links to known and unknown folks.

* My Klezmer-ish band, The Red Sea Pedestrians, have been fruitful as well. Our debut CD and myspace page are out in the world.

* I've been involved in some fantastic CDs lately. Michigan's got some great stuff going on.

*Well, the new website is up, and I love how it looks. Thanks, Drew!

*I've been working on a new CD. Songs on it will include:
- Library Girl
- Say It First
- A Brave Display
- Woodward Avenue
- The Ghost and the Whiskey Darling
- Lauren, I Dig You
- Philosophers Everywhere You Go
As well as a few more originals and a cover of "Real Careers" by the Kalamazoo group The Glowfriends.
I'm super happy with how it's going, and I've had a lot of good friends play on the tracks so far. Hopefully, it will be out by the spring.

*Also, look for the debut of my klezmer group, The Red Sea Pedestrians, opening for The Corn Fed Girls' annual holiday show at Kraftbrau, December 23.

*Besides that, just doing a lot of recording for other people. Some of these cats include:
Seth Bernard and Daisy May
Phil Wintermute
"Something Fresh" compliation for Seeds
The Corn Fed Girls
Andru Bemis
Mark Duval
Jay Gavan
Silas MC
As well as getting ready to do the next Greensky Bluegrass album. ROCK!

And, as always, doing live sound all over the place. If you need a recording engineer or soundperson for your CD, rock opera, gig, hootenany or bris, drop me a line.

Cheers,
Ian
